1.IPS online training to become a certified pharmaceutical sales representative (IHK)
The 1.Internet-Pharmaschule (1.IPS) was founded by AMS in 2001 as the first e-learning platform for further training to become a certified pharmaceutical sales representative.
Our course combines the flexibility of online learning with individual support and a group workshop to train for the requirements of the oral examination.
The 1.IPS online training programme for certified pharmaceutical sales representatives
- Is approved as a professional qualification course by the State Central Agency for Distance Learning (ZFU)
- Is certified according to DIN ISO 9001:2015
- Is a measure approved by the Federal Employment Agency in accordance with employment promotion law (measure number: 644 / 0018 / 2024) – i.e. costs can be covered by the job center or employment agency with an education voucher
- Is an eligible measure under the Upgrading Training Assistance Act (Aufstiegs-BAföG)
University entrance qualification with your IHK qualification in Germany
By participating in further training and successfully passing the subsequent IHK examination, you will acquire the status of pharmaceutical counsellor in accordance with § 75 AMG and will be authorized to visit members of the healthcare professions to provide them with specialist information on medicinal products. In addition, the qualification as a certified pharmaceutical sales representative authorizes you to start a university degree course. With a course duration of approx. 6 months (full-time) to approx. 18 months (part-time), this is an interesting alternative to evening classes lasting several years to acquire a university entrance qualification.

How does the training programme work?
You can join the course at any time. You will be given access and a personal introduction to the training platform by a trainer to familiarise yourself with the training platform.
You work through the modules step by step on your own, using interactive learning aids and self-tests. Our trainers are always available to answer your questions.
You complete each learning module with an online test. The learning modules build on each other and are activated one after the other.
Throughout the entire learning process, our trainers will be at your side as your personal mentor. They will guide you through the entire training programme right through to direct preparation for the individual parts of the IHK exam.
A 4-day webinar workshop takes place after the written IHK examination to prepare you intensively for the oral IHK examination. This will provide you with targeted training for the specific requirements of the oral part of the exam.

…support you with your application for admission to the examining IHK. We will also advise you on financial support options (e.g. Upskilling BAföG, education voucher).
We will personally introduce you to the training platform, clarify questions of understanding, help you to organize yourself and complete the course material in the allotted time, and discuss any questions you may have about finding a job.

Financing options
You can finance the training yourself by paying the costs in monthly instalments.
In many cases, you can have at least part of the costs of the further training financed, for example by means of the Upgrading Training Assistance Grant (Aufstiegs-BaföG) or other grants.
You can have the costs covered by the employment agency or job centre if you are currently unemployed or in a terminated or temporary employment relationship. To do this, apply for an education voucher from the organisation responsible for you. Our programme number is: 644 / 0018 / 2024.
